Perfumista " Ultimate fragrance experience "

I always believe that perfume reflects our personality, it is our second identity.

Fragrance companies produce and sell fragrances and aroma chemicals. There are two broad areas of the fragrance business; fine fragrance (designer labels such as Chanel) and consumer fragrances used in personal care products such as soaps, deodorants and shampoos.

Companies Using Blogs:

Almost all the international companies who produce perfume uses blogs to market their products.
It is hard to be precise in mentioning the number of the companies which use blogs since the reference sites appears in the search engine exceeds 5 million.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Corporate Blogging:

There is severing competition between companies to create and innovate the best mixture of scent in the most appealing bottles.

This can be of positive and negative effect.

Advantages:

The surest way to get someone to buy your perfume is to let them try it and be overwhelmed by how its beauty is "so much like them." Yes, even if they LIKE what they smell there is no guarantee that they will buy it. But getting people to TRY what you are offering is the first step.

Drawing customers to the perfume counters of retail stores is the second big issue. For the larger marketers it is done with magazine advertising, Blogs etc

Think about it. In this second scenario you are first competing for the customer’s attention with everything else in the shop. The customer did not come into the shop to buy perfume and particularly not to buy YOUR perfume. So you first have to attract attention, you then have to inspire an INTEREST in perfume, you then have to "sell" the customer on BUYING your perfume. This requires some clever marketing.

Using your own marketing strategy is the best way and creating your own blog is the answer to excel among the competitors.

Disadvantages:

One of the most critical arguments regarding advertising is that you shall disclose your secrets to your competitors who shall exploit it and use it for their own benefits.
Accordingly the marketing manger must be smart to decide what are the information he can publish that attracts the attention without affecting the company’s trade secret.
Two of the most appalling perfume blogs are Christiane Dior and Elizabeth Arden

Both companies excel in describing the scent of the roses they used in creating new perfume to the extend u can smell the cent thereof .

You can visit both blogs and enjoy the description and try to identify your identity.
